What is SHAPE?
SSN High School Awareness Program in Engineering is an annual 2-week summer internship program designed for students who have completed their 11th grade. The program aims to raise awareness of the diverse potential within engineering disciplines and assist students in making informed decisions about their future studies and careers.

Who is eligible to apply for SHAPE?
SHAPE is open to students who have completed their 11th grade in high school. The program is designed to cater to students with an interest in exploring engineering disciplines.

What kind of projects do interns work on during SHAPE?
Each intern is assigned an individual project, mentored by a faculty member and senior students. The projects are designed to be interesting, doable within the stipulated time frame, and focused on emerging and innovative areas in engineering.

How are participants selected for SHAPE?
Schools are invited to nominate students for participation in SHAPE. Students from different parts of India, including various districts of Tamil Nadu are invited to participate.

Yes, at the end of the 2-week program, interns have the opportunity to exhibit their completed projects. This showcase allows them to share their experiences, learnings, and the outcomes of their projects with peers, mentors, and other participants.
